Set in an idyllic garden landscape, Augustusburg Castle (the sumptuous
residence of the prince-archbishops of Cologne) and the Falkenlust
hunting lodge (a small rural folly) are among the earliest examples of
Rococo architecture in 18th-century Germany.

The architecture of the Castles in Germany is very interesting. It is nothing like the castles in Scotland. This one, for example, reminds me more of the Parliament in Bucharest than of a castle. Don't get me wrong, the building is very beautiful, but it just looks too modern to me.
